Talent analytics uses data to help organizations attract and keep the people that best help them meet their goals.  We’ll look at what’s needed for the successful implementation and adoption of a talent analytics initiative:•  Getting talent in the right seat (matching talent with task) on the right bus (corp. culture)

•  Talent Metrics – what you measure you can manage
•  Talent wins – creating a talent ecosystem within and across organizations

Organizations with strong talent analytics make better decisions around hiring, and improve their talent processes more quickly.  This leads to more engaged employees, faster on-boarding, increased retention, and all those other tasty “returns on investment” that make the data analyst into a superhero.

Our presenters:
Andy Catlin is a data analytics starter and mentor.  After banging up against data for 30 years, he helps identify the patterns and models that yield high value insights and decision guidance. Andy’s heads down work with talent analytics includes two gigs with NFL teams, and playing the data role on several career-readiness initiatives for ACT’s workforce development division.  He is currently working on a “talent supply chain management” initiative that helps align health-care occupation training programs with the most pressing hiring needs of a group of health care providers.

Chris Tanck is Director of Analytics & Data Products for the National Football League.  Chris is responsible for architecting the NFL’s data warehouses to create large-scale business intelligence solutions.  Under his direction, the Analytics & Data Products team provides end users with interactive data visualizations and highly customizable self-service solutions to conduct advanced analysis.  This platform serves to enrich decision-making and optimize work processes across various information sources, ranging from on-field statistics, NFL Network television content, to labor finance and game ticket sales
